🛡️ Refund and Returns Policy | The Watch Legacy

Our Commitment to You

At The Watch Legacy, we want you to be completely confident in your investment. Our policy is designed to ensure that if a watch does not meet your expectations, the return process is secure, transparent, and fair, while protecting the integrity of the valuable timepieces we handle.

1. 30-Day Return Eligibility

Our standard return period is 30 days from the date the watch is officially marked as delivered to your address. If more than 30 days have elapsed since the delivery date, we are unable to offer a full refund or exchange.

2. Mandatory Return Conditions

To be eligible for a full refund, the returned item must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Unworn Condition: The watch must be in the exact same unworn, unused, and undamaged condition as it was received. We cannot accept watches that show any signs of wear, sizing, alteration, or damage.
  • Security Seals: All original manufacturer and The Watch Legacy security tags, protective plastics, or seals must be fully intact and untampered. Removal of these seals invalidates the return.
  • Complete Set: The return must include all original items supplied, including:
    • Inner and outer presentation boxes
    • All manuals and documentation
    • Original Warranty Cards, Certificates, and Papers
    • Any original links, straps, tools, or accessories

3. Exclusions (Items Not Eligible for Return)

The following items are exempt from our 30-day return policy:

  • Custom Orders: Watches that have been specifically personalized, engraved, or modified at the buyer’s request.
  • Sized Straps: Watch bracelets or straps that have been sized or altered to fit the buyer’s wrist.
  • “Final Sale” Items: Certain select vintage or discounted watches explicitly marked as “Final Sale” on the product page.

4. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact Us: You must first contact The Watch Legacy customer service team via email within the 30-day window to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns received without a valid RMA number will be rejected.
  2. Packaging: Securely package the watch and all its accompanying materials (as listed in Section 2) in an unmarked outer box.
  3. Shipping: The return must be shipped using a reliable courier service with mandatory full insurance coverage equal to the watch’s purchase price and a verifiable tracking number. The cost of return shipping and insurance is the responsibility of the client.

5. Refund Processing

Once the returned item is received, it will undergo a detailed inspection by our horology team (typically within 3-5 business days).

Restocking Fee: The Watch Legacy reserves the right to charge a restocking fee (up to 5%) or issue a partial refund if the item is returned in a condition that requires cleaning, repair, or refurbishment, or if any original items are missing.

Approval: If the watch passes inspection and meets all criteria, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Book with obvious signs of use
  • CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at {email address}.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
