Our Commitment to Integrity
At The Watch Legacy, we stand behind the authenticity and quality of every timepiece we sell. Our returns policy is carefully structured to protect the integrity of high-value horological assets and ensure a fair and secure process for all our collectors.
1. 7-Day Inspection and Return Period
We offer a 7-calendar day inspection period, starting from the confirmed date of delivery. This is the exclusive window during which a return must be formally initiated. Requests received after the 7-day period will not be accepted.
2. Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a return or exchange, the item must meet all of the following criteria:
- Condition: The watch must be in the exact same unworn, unused, and undamaged condition as it was shipped. Any sign of wear, alteration, sizing, or tampering immediately invalidates the return.
- Security Seals: All original factory protective plastics and all tamper-proof The Watch Legacy security seals/tags must be completely intact and unremoved.
- Complete Set: The return must include every single item originally provided, including the inner and outer boxes, warranty cards, manuals, hang tags, links, and all proof of provenance or appraisal documents.
- Reason for Return: Returns are primarily accepted for reasons of damage upon arrival, mechanical defect, or if the wrong product was received. (A mandatory unboxing video is required for claims of damage/defect—see Section 3).
3. Required Documentation for Damage/Defect Claims
For any claim regarding physical damage or mechanical defect upon arrival, the following is mandatory:
- Unboxing Video: A single, continuous, and clear video recording showing the entire process: from the unopened shipping box displaying the label, to the full unboxing of the watch, and clearly demonstrating the damage or defect.
- Proof of Condition: Detailed photographs of the security seals, the watch, and all accessories.
Failure to provide this mandatory documentation will result in the rejection of the claim.
4. Items Exempt from Return (Final Sale)
Due to the sensitive nature of these assets, the following items are considered Final Sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:
- Customized/Engraved Watches: Any timepiece that has been personalized at the client’s request.
- Sized Straps/Bracelets: Items where links have been removed or straps have been cut/adjusted.
- Vintage Watches: Select antique or vintage pieces explicitly sold “As-Is” with known conditions detailed in the listing description.
5. Return Process and Security
Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of up to 5% may be deducted if the watch meets return criteria but requires extensive re-authentication or if minor accessories are missing.
Initiation: Contact our dedicated team to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.
Shipping Responsibility: The client is responsible for all return shipping costs. Due to the high value, the return package must be fully insured for the purchase price and sent via a trackable courier service. The tracking number must be provided immediately.
Inspection & Refund: Once received, our certified horologists will conduct a thorough 3-5 business day inspection.
Refund Payout: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 7-10 business days.
